Srinagar, Febuary 24 (KNO) : Hizbul Mujahideen’s operational commander for Jammu and Kashmir Reyaz Naikoo Sunday asked the Hurriyat leaders to start a sustained and result-oriented agitation if Government of India or the Supreme Court tinkers or scraps the Article 35 A. According to KNO, in an five minute audio-clip, Naikoo has asked the Hurriyat leadership no to leave the agitation mid-way citing career of students or any other reason and to remember how the RSS-backed goons put the career of Kashmiri students at a stake by resorting to attacks on them and forcing them to flee. He asked policemen to sit homes if article 35 A goes stating that “it was their issue as well.” He asked non local residents in Kashmir to flee Valley if article 35 A is removed. “Situation in Kashmir seems serious. You are aware that more forces have been called in and leaders are being detained. It seems that something is happening against the Kashmiri people that can led to agitation and to muzzle the people’s voices more forces have been called in and leadership caged,” Naikoo said. “New Delhi thinks that they can use military might to push the people and resistance leadership to wall. We want to tell the nation, if India would take any untoward decision, but my appeal is that maintain unity. I appeal religious groups to shun small ideological differences and to maintain unity.” He said that GoI has never admitted that Kashmir “was a nation.” “Recently, Kashmiris were beaten they were not beaten for their religious thoughts, but for being Kashmiris. Today it has happened with the students and tomorrow it may happen with us all. Those who were martyred so far only sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Kashmir not for any particular thought or ideology,” he said. “It seems that GoI wants to play with the article 35 A, if any tinkering will happen, tomorrow, our mothers and sisters won’t be safe. I want to tell the leadership that if agitation is started, start a sustained and result oriented agitation. Earlier, agitations were left mid-ways with students career cited as the major reason.”(KNO)
